Sleepy's Major Characters

Esther is an identical twin, but she's easily distinguished from her peppy and brightly dressed sister. She prefers dark colors, tattered jeans, combat boots, and shades indoors. While she inherited her mother's less than glamorous abilities, Esther has her father's natural passion and inclination for music, and is talented in multiple instruments.
As a younger twin, she has always feared being overshadowed, ignored, forgotten, or left behind. Esther loves being center stage, being active in school athletics as well as music, and isn't afraid to show her competitive edge. Always trying to pick up new hobbies, talents, party tricks, and experiences to show off; quite handy with a switchblade. Her family are active hikers and campers and she takes peace in being outdoors.

Cailin is a bit on the short and skinny side. Holding her gift in check is a constant tax on her body, leaving her with a legendary appetite. Prone to nosebleeds and dizziness after using her power. Severe pollen allergies.
She lives for life's simple pleasures, eating, sleeping, and video games, and she loves to cook and bake. To those she's closest to, she's the protective "big sisterly" type, but she can sometimes be difficult with her own family. As someone with no control over her own problems, she's the perfect person to take care of yours.
Despite a doting and attentive father, she is resentful over her mother's absence in her life, and the unanswered questions that surround her.

Evander is the youngest son of a litter of eight, an oddity in a society of outcasts. He has a deeply embedded fear of his own power, a defect which makes him a target of pity and contempt by some.
He can come across as quiet and aloof, but he's polite and enjoys good conversation, especially with a pretty face. Always keeps a cold head and has a tendency to play the mediator or negotiator. White lies come natural to him. Reliable as a dog, and as colorblind as one, with an unusually sharp nose and a taste for bacon strips.
