He's spent near his entire life perfecting his gift, the range of his detection managing to spread near all over the span of the school campus at any moment he wishes. He has no problems reading the emotions of others and changing them to his will, and his attention to details could him a way of seeing if the average person is lying or not. With enough time and concentration, he could possibly drive a person into sheer madness, however, this is a theory that has yet to be tested - and one he never plans on trying.
