Something Borrowed, Something New [OPEN]

Here we go. A new school, a new life, a new start. I can do this. I got this.

Juniper's whole journey here had been filled with anxiety. Her mother's final conversation with her kept replaying in her mind, both soothing her and making her more nervous. She wanted to do well here, that much she knew her mother expected, but she had no clue what she was getting into. She had barely realized she had these.. abilities. And now she was on her way to a strange place to learn more about them.

But this was a new start, her mom said. A chance to make new friends and redefine herself. Inhaling deeply, she opened her eyes to look out the window. There it was, her new school. She had been picturing something akin to a castle, like Hogwarts, only slightly smaller. This building wasn't far off, although it wasn't exactly what she had imagined. Still, the excitement and nerves coursed through her veins as her heart started to beat faster. Finally, something new.

Eagerly, Juniper grabbed all of her belongings from teh front seat of the car and opened the door. The cool air hit her warm face and she couldn't help but smile. It even smelled crisp and new! With all of her bags in hand, she waved goodbye to the driver of the car and began to walk towards the building. She was ready.

Marion had spent a bit too much time pacing around, every few steps pausing to check her clothes were still straightened or that her eyeliner was still in order. There was never a point in her life where she had found herself uncomfortable speaking to new people, yet her shoulders weighed heavier all the same. She was a perfect now, the face of her house, the portrait of her school; if she said something strange, or slipped up in any way...

You'll be fine. You'll live... Most likely...

The blonde practiced her smile one more time before disappearing to the entrance courtyards. Her timing was impeccable, arriving just as their newest student's driver had disappeared into the distance. She'd waited patiently before the entrance doors, waving the other girl down.

"You would be Miss Morris?" she called in a lilting voice.

Hearing a friendly voice, Juniper perked up, a smile already easily gracing her face. A girl was waving her down. She was pretty and seemed to know what she was doing. Juniper was drawn by her confidence and quickly approached her.
"Hello!" she said brightly. "Yes, that's me. What's your name?"
