More or Less {Open}

Oddly enough, this was the same conservatory his mother slaved over maybe a decade or two ago. How weird it was that it was the same place. Admittedly, another plant than those who adorned the conservatory like a carpet of green, perhaps? He trailed his hands over the still blooming flowers, their petals spreading and arching as if welcoming the sweetest spring. Reed smiled to himself, letting the rainbow of flowers cascade over what was once a sea of green.

Head drooping for a moment, the boy let his shoulders sag. The energy he gave to the plants often took the life out of him. It often hurt him more than anything else. It was exhausting, he thought to himself, kicking the stool back, balancing on two pegs. What a shame it was that Reed could not make fortresses out of trees. Maybe he would one day. This school was boring already and the year just started. Maybe he'd find someone to talk to, or maybe someone to be with, to love.

A single rose grew out of the bush behind him, the plant losing the bud as he gently pulled it off, slipping his fingers over the thorns which disappeared in a single touch.

Having been exploring the school, Ellie found herself at the conservatory. She wasn't a big fan of plants, seeing as though they didn't do much, but she decided that she might as well check the place out. Opening the doors, the black haired student stepped inside, looking around. She was bored already.

Walking down the slim path that was walled with plants on either side, she spotted another student just a little ways away. By the looks of it, he didn't seem to be in the best of shape, but what did she care? It wasn't like he was any of her business... but alas, her curiosity got the best of her. It wouldn't hurt to go check him out, right?

Making her way over to the student, Ellie stopped a foot or so away from him, with a raised brow and a hand on her hip. "Yo, what's your problem?" the blunt student asked without a hint of remorse.

Seth was poking at the white petals of a daisy, the velvety stickiness lingered on his fingertips as he retracted from the flower. There were moments like this where Seth could feel his own mind. His power wasn't tugging at him to have morbid thoughts or to flip to the personality he dreaded so much. It was one of these moments where he was truly himself, not the psychotic person his power had made him. The student took a deep breath in, enjoying the time with himself. This was something he could get used to, though he knew that would never be an option for him. His gifted power of Mind Control was slowly taking control of his own mind.

Seth's eyes flickered and a few blinks brought back the glazed over look in his eyes. A very devious grin formed as he ripped the daisy out of the dirt from the roots up. The plant could never live again.. but it hadn't done enough suffering. Seth played with the petals, his fingers grabbing the tips of the white petals as he ripped them off from the yellow source. This is who is power was making him - and he had no control.

His head turned sharply, being interrupted from his play. Who could this be?

Reed blinked, peering away from the rose bush and staring back at the girl in front of him. A smirk crossed his face, and he let the stool hit all fours. Casually, he plucked the flower from its stem and brought the vibrant red flower to his nose. "My problem," He began, straightening his posture. "Is that you are not in my life." The boy flirted, awarding the girl with the rose.

The movement from the side of the room caught Reed's eye for a moment, but he did not linger on them. He knew the boy was picking the flowers he had just grown, which peeved him to no end. Yet he kept his eyes on the girl in front of him, amused.

Listening as the boy attempted to flirt his way into her heard, Ellie gave a roll of her eyes. Such incompetence would most likely be the end of him, but even so, he was a bit charming, in his own annoying sort of way. Accepting his gift of a rose, a simper smile on her pale face. "Have you been just waiting to say that to some girl?" she sneered, giving the rose a sniff. It was a pretty flower, although simple in outward appearance.

Seth scooped up the daisy petals he had been peeling off the flowers and stood up, his eyes locked on the other two in the conservatory. The blond student stomped his way over to the other guy with the sly remark and dumped the flower petals on top of his head. "There. Pretty. Like a flower." Seth's eyes shone brightly at his creation.
