Chicken CPR [open] Empty
PostSubject: Chicken CPR [open]   Chicken CPR [open] EmptyWed Sep 19, 2018 1:00 pm

Iris stood stiff, almost planted in the ground like a post next to the barn. At her feet was a black chicken laced with gold feathers. The birds body laid limp on the ground, clucks no longer coming from its beak. Iris stared at the bird wide eyed, she swore she was just playing with it and the thing just fell over limp. She could feel her body heating up as the electricity ran through it. "No no no no no-" The speedster turned away from the bird in panic and blinked away as fast as she could. Her speed wasn't quite like her fathers, where he could just run non stop. It had a twinge of her mothers invisibility to where she could almost teleport in small increments to a distance ahead of her, turning almost invisible to the eye. Iris's only destination right now was to find the closest person that could preform chicken CPR.

Green eyes landed on a pair of students who seemed to be lingering around campus. Whether they were together or not it didn't matter to Iris, what she needed was both of their help asap. Iris paused a few feet away from them; even though she only went a short distance it felt like her lungs were going to pop. Her voice wheezed as she called out to them, "H-hey! I need your guy's help! There's a medical problem at the barn, please!" The speedster looked back at the barn, its shadow casting a gloomy shadow of where she envisioned the chickens body still laid.

Morgan almost had a bucket list of sorts when it came to the academy; a checklist of areas of the campus he wanted to see, to spend time in. The barn was one of the areas as he never got to really see any barn animals as he had lived in a big city his entire life. The moment he had read about there being a barn, he knew he had to go and had decided to take time out of his day to go. His hands were deep in his pocket, his head titled backwards to enjoy the warm beam of sunlight and the fresh air. So much more fresher than he was ever used to.

Everything was calm and peaceful...Until a voice startled him. He jumped, blue flames escaping his mouth with a gasp as he pulled himself to the present and the girl who was standing a few feet from him. There was another student nearby who he had failed to spot, his gaze shifting to them for all but a second before focused on the girl who was breathing like she had ran the entire way. His eyes however widen as her words sunk in, his hands tightening in his pocket as he just...Stared at her. "I-I don't know if I can be of help," he managed, knowing nothing about what to do in any type of emergency. Was it animal in trouble? Another student? Worry flared in his chest, panic rising up but he held it down as he nervously gave a nod of his head. "B-But I'm willing to se-see what I can do! Lead the way!"

Alabaster paws tracking across the ground, the free time Maeve had gotten had been dedicated to running around in her wolf form. She most definitely did not blend into the forest during this time of year, an almost beacon against the yellows and browns of fall. In the distance not too far by she picked up on the sound, a cry for help. The almost supersonic hearing bestowed upon canines did affect her too, and she couldn't refuse a cry for help.

Bounding at a much faster speed than she would as a human, as Maeve neared she did the seamless transition back into a human. Her hair was an absolute mess and not pinned up at all, but it was still cut short enough that she could just run her fingers through the locks and be fine. Seeing the other two panicked students in the barn over a chicken, Maeve regained her composure and went over to the two. "What happened..?" Her signature head-tilt let some of her long snowy locks of hair fall into her face, quickly being swiped back as she surveyed the situation.

Peculiar as she looked showing up out of nowhere, Maeve got the gist of what was going on as soon as she glanced down at the lifeless chicken. Leaping forward, there was a slight ripple of pain as her knees hit the ground, but it was ignored as her fingers worked to find the chicken's ribcage. Finding the spot she needed to be at, gentle compressions began without second thought. She had most certainly been trained in CPR, and while she hadn't ever tried it on a chicken before... there was a first time for everything.
