Was there always this side of the world he never knew about?
These people with powers existed, hidden away in a quaint valley. Once an old town called Rosebury, now a budding city. Shockingly Beata did little to hide much of its history, and many works were open for people to read, lest they desired to. And boy, did Bently desire to. Some of it was hard to understand. Something about a woman who was nearly a god? What did that mean? What was that? If she was a god--how did they beat her so easily...?
The history behind powers was interesting to Bently too. Many public figures were listed to have abilities. Amazing! Bently had been bent over his pile of history and power theory books for so long that his back was beginning to ache. Arching his spine, the teen spread out his arms, stifling a yawn. As he did this, the blank looked out at the corner of his eye at the librarian, a short baby faced looking kind of man who kept sending glances his way.
Bently was not certain if the librarian believed his lie about not having his uniform or unity link on him. Considering the many glances his way, the interloper was sure that the man child didn't believe him. Yet, the man did not act on his concerns.
Better to play it safe, Bently supposed.
He leaned back a bit more to crack his back, chair slipping, and the boy and his chair landed on someone just behind him with a crash.
