As Nathaniel Wright passes stewardship of the school and city to Leo Herman, masked demonstrators gather outside the gates and shots are fired from the crowd. The would-be assassin is cornered by Shepard Herman, Intelligence Commander Mason Stein, and members of the Lupine Guard, but before they can haul him off for questioning, he is silenced by an unseen sniper in the rooftops.
20 September 2053: Oh Shit.
A gun smuggled from the outside world. A gore-splattered white mask, a gaping hole blown through one eye. A key to an Aurum District apartment. And last of all, a crumpled up receipt with a threatening note—DO NOT FORGET YOUR ROLE. Guardians have identified the mysterious gunman as Norman Carter, a Benedicite graduate with no powers of his own, but their leads are growing cold.
20 September 2053: Oh Shit. 2.0
Shepard Herman pilfers copies of evidence from his father's study and shares them with other students in the library. Taking a closer look at the receipt, they latch onto a clue the adults missed, and head to Preston's Burger Bar.
27 September 2053: One
Guardians converge on Norman Carter's apartment and find it rigged with tripwires, cameras, and explosives. They break open a hidden safe, filled with five hundred rounds of ammunition, family pictures, pictures of a girlfriend, and old snippets of newspaper, with headlines all mostly revolving around the death of a young boy named James Carter, as well as a detailed hand-drawn map.

9 October 2053: Two
Finish the monstrously huge Croftburger and a pail of fries in less than twenty minutes, get your picture taken for the Wall of Fame, and have the whole meal free. Puke, get up from your seat, or don't finish in time, the burger costs a hefty sum, and your failure will be immortalized on the Wall of Shame. They find out that Norman Carter had stopped by only days prior to his death, and not alone—with a girlfriend. After tracking down the couple's server, they acquire a picture and a left-behind journal containing an encrypted message.
