The warm spring day was worth a moment to stop and smell the roses. Flowers were in full bloom, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was days like this that let Leo unwind, gliding through the calm River's Pointe air. Well-- that would normally be the case. But he had gotten a call while he was in the office--Mikaela had gone into labor. It had been all too sudden for her to grab the overnight bag. As such, Leo shot through the air like a bullet--knowing all the natural air currents of the city like the back of his hand.
Adam, Eve, and Shepard were all in class. For the time being, Leo left Sam in charge of Beata until he got back. As soon as he returned to their house, Leo shot a message to the group text to keep them updated, then left a message for each of the schools to release the kids. Shepard would stop by and pick up the twins before flying them to the hospital.
He wasn't nearly as nervous as he was when the twins were born. Leo didn't get to be there when Shepard was born, to Leo this was his second time. Admittedly, they had to cut Mikaela open to get both the twins out. N-855. The north building was usually for labor. Leo ducked his head around the corner, spotting the room number across the hall. A nervous smile crossed his face, and the blond slowly opened the door. From what Mikaela had told him, the contractions had been four minutes apart. Not too bad.
"How are you holding up, momma?" Leo asked, ducking his head down to kiss her forehead. "The kids are on their way. Shepard is picking them up now."
