| Honestly, Sam didn't really get what the whole fuss about Valentines' day was. They understood that it had become a holiday celebrating love and romance but when they were somebody who didn't quite....'Get' that, it just left them confused on why people would care so much if they got a card or chocolate or anything...But, that wasn't to say that Sam wasn't excited. They liked seeing people be happy and seeing people's faces light up as they were handed a card and a gift was a nice treat for themselves.
Their elbows were on the table, their tray pushed to the side the moment the students started to walk around and hand out the grams. Their eyes shifted as a box and a bundle of roses were dropped off next to them, taking a few moments before they suddenly realized it was for them. Carefully, they picked up the letter that had been attached and flipped it open as they read the letter. Short, sweet and nothing really romantic about it...They liked it. They peered into the box, realizing that it was a chocolate crown and they knew that they would have to savor that. Although, they were curious who had sent the letter - there wasn't a name. Had it been Keir? If so, it seemed odd that there wasn't a name but they were going to take what they got, even if they didn't understand the deal about the holiday.
As the students walked around, passing out cards and gifts, Morgan was half-heartily poking at his food by himself. He wasn't expecting anything - he had barely made any friends at Beata and honestly, he was fine with that. He was getting a bit use to all the people but the idea of going up and talking to somebody made him sick to his stomach with fear. He just...He couldn't easily get over his native fear of people and it was annoying, being alone while everybody was celebrating relationships today. There was a flicker of movement near him that caught his attention, looking up with a startle only to sigh with relief as the person soon walked away...Only to realize that a box of chocolates and a single rose had been left next to him. "I...What?" he managed barely, picking up the letter as he flipped it open. It was...Nice but he felt confused - questioning who he had met who would do something like this. He had no friends! But...Still, he smiled as he picked up the rose carefully - avoiding the thorns as he twirled it in his fingers before setting it next to his tray as he returned to his food, in a better mood than he had been in a few moments before. | |

| Alexandria, who was simply taken with the mystique of having a secret admirer. Though she could not fully reveal in her fantasies on the account of her overly obsessed cousin. Rolling her rose within her fingertips as she rested her head on her free hand while using the cafeteria table as support. " Why are you so concerned about who sent you the gifts and card. Your a cute girl I'm surprised that you don't have mountains of secret admires". Her words were more meant to tease and distract her little cousin than cheer her up.
Ethelthryth who was more interested in her card simply stared in annoyance toward her cousin who in response playfully stuck out her tongue. " It's not the fact that I received a card, but the message and gift. The gift is far too much for a simple school event while the message is too personal for it to be from an onlooker".
While Ethelthryth spoke, Alexandria would adorn the heart shaped glasses while taking in the scent of the rose, " well perhaps it was I that sent you the letter to profess my undying love for you". Continuing on while giving Ethelthryth a cheshire grin, " If you feel guilty about receiving such a gift, you could call me Big Sis in return". Waving her glasses up and down as if to egg the younger Arachne on.
Whether intentional or not, Alexandria made it blatantly obvious that she was not the sender. It was possible that she could've have written such a message as she was not stupid, even though her actions tend to prove otherwise. However, it was not in her writing. Attempting to break down the message for any hints as the gift would be a fairly obvious choice as Ethelthryth made no effort in hiding her weaponry. The message could have multiple meanings when referring to the Young Arachne. The walking with friends in the dark could refer to when she went camping with Danae-Allise, but the last part did not fit in with the rest of the message did not fit. Other meanings break down to loneliness in safety or on the top of a hierarchy is worse than being in danger or lower on the totem pole with friends and loved ones. It could be a joke by Anatheus, but cooperation and him don't see eye to eye. The most likely case was either a teacher or Danae-Allise. | |
