| Well. That was embarrassing.
She went to the wrong classroom.
Everyone stared as she got up to leave, only realizing it was math, not English after the teacher began writing a polynomial on the board. After all of that, she was not only late for her English class but also embarrassed herself in front of all the kids there. It didn't help that she couldn't say she was in the wrong class. Hell, she wasn't certain if the teacher had tried to call her back. With a frown, June pushed passed a group of students who seemed to still be lingering in the hallway, not wanting to go to class immediately.
Pushing her strawberry blond hair out of her face, she paused at the corner, feet shuffling as she inspected the room numbers ahead of her, hands gripping at her schedule, eyes flicking between the numbers as each second passed. Lost. She didn't have the words in her mouth to explain why or how just...lost.

| Shit. Shit. Shit.
This school was too confusing. It was like walking through a castle. There was no possible way he would make it to the right classroom in time.
With an exaggerated sigh, one of Beata's newest made his way down the halls, eyes searching for any number that matched his schedule. Every upperclassman he dared to ask seemed to ignore him as they rushed to their own classes, leaving him to search high and low by himself.
The hall thinned out as people entered the various doors lining the way. Besides a few stragglers, most likely skipping class, Jude seemed to be on his own. He groaned in defeat before leaning against a wall, green eyes staring at a particular group as they chattered away. The boy was already preparing himself for the scolding he'd get for missing his first class.
As he stared blankly ahead, a girl pushed her way past the group, her head tilted up as she looked at the numbered doors. She seemed clumsy as she walked forward, turning every so often to look at every door she passed. It must have been Jude's lucky day. He wasn't the only one lost.
"Hey!" he called out, shifting his backpack and jogging forward to catch up with the girl. "Maybe we can look for our classes together," he hummed, peering down at the girl. His brow twitched for a moment as he glanced at the side of her face. She looked... familiar.

| This couldn't be right. She had to be in the wrong hallway. Why do schools have to be like mazes? June made to turn back towards, nearly colliding with another student. In a quick motion, her head snapped up to read his lips, only catching 'together'. Brows knitting together worriedly, she looked up at his face--pausing for a long moment at how familiar it was to her then motioning slowly, hoping beyond hope they knew sign language. 'Sorry' She motioned. 'I am deaf' A finger from under her ear to her mouth punctuated the last word. 'Please say that again.'
Expectantly, she waited for him to say something again, eyes wondering his face. Why did he look so familiar to her?

| Jude froze.
She was deaf. The more he stared, the clearer everything became. He never thought he'd meet her again. Those lessons were worth it in the end.
He could feel the shift coming on but shoved it away for as long as he could. H-He needed to respond before one of them took over. 'Of course' he motioned, emphasizing the tap on his hand and mouthing the words clearly. 'Did you want to walk together?' The boy paused for a moment, looking away with embarrassment. 'Your name is June, correct?'
The boy rubbed his head, tousling his shaggy hair. Fighting off whoever wanted to make an appearance was giving him a massive headache. "Go away, none of you know sign language..." he muttered under his breath.

| Her mouth parted in an 'O', then a giant grin spread across her face as she excitedly watched his hands moved back to her. So cool! Wide eyes almost went to look back to his face, but he continued to sign something that made her heart leap with shock. 'I would love the help, but how do you know my name?' Her lips pursed, and her hand finished signing as she looked up at him. It took a moment, maybe two when everything seemed to click.
'Jude?' Her hands flashed quickly, looking up imploringly at the boy, almost bouncing on her toes. But the pained look on his head caused her to stop, and instead take a step closer. 'Are you ok?' He had said something. 'Could you say that in sign language? I couldn't read your lips.' Was what he said for her? He didn't move his lips very much.
